Lawyers Magazine Names William L. Guice III
a Top Attorney in Mississippi
OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss., March
21, 2008 – William L. Guice III, senior
partner with Rushing & Guice, P.L.L.C., has
been named by Super Lawyers magazine as one of
the top attorneys in Mississippi for 2007. Only
five percent of the lawyers in the state are named
by Super Lawyers.
Rushing & Guice, P.L.L.C., is the only Coast-based
law firm included in the March 2008 issue of the
magazine, which focused on corporate counsel.
Guice’s inclusion in the corporate counsel
edition comes as a result of his being named in
Mid-South Super Lawyers, a comprehensive and diverse
guide to outstanding attorneys representing a
wide range of practice areas and firm sizes in
the states of Mississippi, Arkansas and Tennessee.
Guice primarily practices in the area of commercial
and general litigation in all state and federal
courts in which he is licensed. He also represents
banking interests and handles sophisticated financial
and real estate transactions. His practice areas
also include lender liability and business litigation,
white collar criminal defense, as well as admiralty
law. He advises his clients in the areas of asset
protection and preservation, estate planning,
business formation and environmental matters.
These clients include financial institutions,
physicians, various members of the seafood industry,
leaders of business and industry, and many long-term
Coast residents.
Guice is licensed to practice in Mississippi,
Texas and the District of Columbia. He received
his undergraduate degree from Tulane University
in 1969 and his law degree from Tulane University
in 1972. While at Tulane, he was a member of the
Board of Student Editors of the Tulane Law Review
for the years 1970-1972.
